Southpoint Casino in Las Vegas has released their opening lines for the hottest games for the upcoming college football season. The Penn State vs Pitt rivalry game has made the board with a shocking opening line. Penn State will open as 9 point UNDERDOGS to Pitt. While the game being at Pitt swings the line a few points in Pitts favor, 9 points seems a little too much, without having pre-season camp yet. Pitt does return a handful starters while Penn State has a lot of question marks for the season, including a starting QB. I would expect this line to move a lot before the game, but if you like betting on Penn State, I'd take PSU -9 as it opens, because you probably won't get much better than that. Let's just hope the team uses it as fuel, like they did when they were 24 point dogs vs Wisconsin in 2013 Penn State renews it's rivalry vs Pitt at Heinz Field Sept. 10th There will be one less spot to watch the game in State College this season, Kildare’s will officially close its doors today after being bought out by Chicago-based real estate firm CA Student Living for $7.5 million this past November. Kildare’s had expected to operate into 2017,but announced today on their Instagram that they would be closing effective immediately so demolition can begin and construction on the new development will start. So far no exact plans have been announced for the lot but it is believed to be student apartments with first floor retail space.
