PSU News and commentary
After beautiful weather last weekend the chance of rain for tomorrow's game versus Army is 90%. This will be the third home game (out of four) so far this year with rain. Every Nittany Lion knows that Penn State gets its fair share of rainy days, but usually the fall is fairly dry. This year the rain seems to be mainly on football weekends. The IM fields have already been closed for tailgates and the remaining unpaved tailgate areas are sure to be muddy and wet. With weather like this, tailgating is a real challenge. The noon start will also put a damper on tailgate crowds. Fans will put up with almost any weather conditions to tailgate before the game, but pots game tailgating usually needs an assist from the weather. Steady rain will clear the post game tailgates even quicker than the cold. And just to make matters worse the temperatures tomorrow will be in the 40's all day. Cold and rainy. That's about as bad as it gets for tailgating.
